Can Ray recover from this?

yeah, he's getting killed here . . . especially panel five, his response is like a beaten man feebly trying to bat away punches in a fight with tyson or ali.

He's coming back though. Watchout!

Little Nephew needs to show up more.

oooo that is a burn. a burn to the nuts that ray doesn't have no more.

It's odd that Lil' Nephew is familiar with Morris Day and the Time and yet he thinks Rocky boxes from a wheelchair.

I suspect that he actually knows plenty about all of the things he criticizes Ray for mentioning. This isn't the only seemingly strange reference he makes to something that, if he were as ignorant as he seems to be, there's no way he'd know about.

You guys totally aren't getting into the spirit
When you comment, you rhyme, so c'mon, let's hear it.

Your comment sounded like a washed up a cheerleader
Sittin' at home with her washed up QB in the wife beater
Hidin' in the bathroom with your man's jaw a flappin'
Screamin' through the door, "DENISE! ARE YOU CRAPPIN'?"

j/k man. Seriously, though, Lil' Nephew is going for some low blows here.

Yo, don't talk shit 'bout Denise when you're writin' your jams,
Because one must admit that she's got luscious hams.

Chubbies all around, like a gay shame parade
You rhymes are tight, although commansj's was delayed.
Little Nephew's new wave, Ray's old hat
A fedora worn by a mobster settling debts with a baseball bat.
The small fool considers himself wise
The old wiseman can use his words to hypnotize.
Take ten men, and put them in a room with a rhymin' Ray
They'll all be in tears by the end of the day.

Uncle Ray's rhymin' may well be ice cold
But the new generation will surpass the old.
Ray is just taking the bait that is dangled
By the embodiment of all rappin' new-fangled
And while all the ladies might smile when they see him
It's only 'cause he's exhibit #1 at the Hip-Hop museum.

(Hey, this is pretty easy!)

No.

LN's got 12 pages of nothin' but tha rhyyme.

Nice plucking gesture from Little Nephew there.

The start versus the Epic Rhyme Duel.

We need to see more of these, Onstad!

wwwwwww bSNAP! (P.S. I wouldn't mind a week of this).

Today whilst getting dressed I realised I was singing this rap. And I knew all the words.

In my head the first few panels read like a Dr. Seuss book instead of a rap.

Hahahaha that is a hilarious way to think of this entire strip.

that last panel is DANK

I don't know why, but I'm not a big fan of the Little Nephew character or these "rap-off" strips.

ooooohshiit

'There's cave art of you freakin' to Morris Day & the Time!'
Frikkin class.

I think this is my favorite .gif of all time!

Panel 3 reminds me of Sage Francis' "battle" with Underground Kid.
