Looks like it's time for me to finally take up piano.
Good God Damn.

Five, Five, a thousand times Five. A true miracle of comic strip joy.

Amen!

Ray's slightly raised eyebrow in the last panel makes it for me.

i barely even saw that. so good.

Further on down the line in the comment sections you'll see people crapping on comments like the above one. Sort of mocking someone who points out little details and then gets a bunch of chubbies for it. That's part of the reason I like these earlier strip's comment sections. The raised eyebrow does add different tone to the last panel and someone who missed it the first time probably appreciates having it pointed out. Uh...guess what I'm trying to say is well done.

Ray has all the talent in the world, but has no idea of its power.

The cat's code is a dog's code.

I don't know, he impressed Molly with his coding acumen. He codes like a fox.

Indeed, like he was playing a piano.

OOOOOHHHH *moment of revelation followed by sense of peace and one-ness*

keyboards. duh.

mind blown.

Beef shouldn't be so down on his own code.

A comment left by ssddr was marked lame too many times and excluded. (marked lame by cavebaby, zulko, Zem)

He probably doesn't realise how badly being homeless affects your credit score.

Chubby for making me chuckle.

Although I think this may be worthy of a groan. But still, kudos.

My code is a dog's code, too. All using too many temporary variables, all uncommented with no JUnit, all free of Javadoc, all running in O(n^10000)...

beter than 10000^n

wow I just noticed I completely fucked up typing "better"

Half a year later? That's raw.

Still better than n!

all programming in an object oriented language the same way I programmed in BASIC

all leaving parantheses open and wondering why I'm getting errors

All if(boolean == true) instead of just if(boolean)

I wish I could add something to this thread. Once I made a 'turtle' rotate in degrees on a Commodore 64. It remains my crowning achievement.

I made colored lines on an apple IIC once. ^_^;;;

Chubby, just because.

dude. i at least got that turtle through a maze.

10 Print "Ohhhhhhh Shhhhiiiiiitttt"
20 Goto 10

it sounds to me like beef has a little...
[i]pianist envy...[/i/]

oh crap, looks like my code is that of a dog's.

Be straight with me, sexual homeboy: did you cold fuck up your BBCode purposefully in order to set up a chubby worthy post?

I actually admire your commitment.

i don't know how to lame that without laming that. It's so lame it's not a lameable lame.

Making ladies weep and giving hope to the hopeless are the goals of all art. Maybe more often the former, though.

I can so hear the intonation in Ray's voice in the italysized line "I had just never tried" all dragged out like he's explaing a simple yet revolutionary idea to a child.

I'm feeling the ALT text on this one. Will and Grace is mostly gone now, but I still feel this way about Charmed. Sitting down to watch a Law and Order rerun only to have Charmed come on the TV is about the worst thing ever.

DUM DUM

it could if the lady and homeless man were also programmed.

I think Google has a webservice for that now.

Loving beef's enjambment at the end there.

(And they said English Lit was a waste of time.)

sheer poetry from Beef.

Would Ray's music ever remind me when I need to buy eggs and milk?

Actually fuck that, I'm writing a song called Dogg You Need To Buy Eggs and Milk (Sunshine Push)

Anyone else felt the pure pain of being in a pit of depression and having someone try to tell you you're good at things, such as Beef exhibits in panel 4?

yeah, it's always marvelous to encounter such folk as beef, who react to compliments in a manner similar to being punched in the stomach.

This is it. I wish I could find more occasions to quote Roastbeef in this one.

HA HA Alt Text! Hahaha, wee!

i dunno about you other ladies, but code gets me every time.

This has gotta be one of my favourite Achewoods of all time.
