That must be the fiver he got from Ray's mother to get himself a sandwich. Oh these details

Wow. Ultra-detail good call.

Hell yeah, that's getting into The Annotated Achewood.

I now know that I have been reading too much Achewood lately, because my heart went "pitter-patter" when you mentioned the Annotated Achewood, and then I got a little sad when I realized that it wasn't a real thing.

However, on the bright side, the GOF is going to be released as a graphic novel. I suppose I shouldn't quibble.

1 year later, the Annotated Achewood is coming soon. Except it won't have the GOF arc in it.

It is a bittersweet symphony, this life.

He is not keeping that cheese on as weight

And that's also not the only son of Ramses. That random cat came and went fast. Dornheim, where you go?

It's pretty reasonable to assume that Beef didn't know about Dornheim. I haven't gotten to that part of the archives yet, but I don't think even Ray knew about him.

I know, I just thought it was interesting to point out. Maybe Dornheim got the fightin' gene too.

Maybe Dornheim: rad band name.

also, maybe Donnie got the leaving gene and Ray got the fighting one.

This is the first and last time Beef has ever told anybody to "keep the change"

the "keep the change" was necessary for the image beef is trying to cultivate. he and ray are the badass motherfuckers you don't cross, but to the people on their side, they're better than gold. beef's already playing the game.

they good people

i am uber impressed with your recall for details. chubbied.

Whoo! Chubby #200 and well deserved.

Such great recall well-deserves 300 chubbies.

A comment left by zem was marked lame too many times and excluded. (marked lame by _cheesekayke, scraggg, retinarow, brianstanwyck)

His Dad has the same ray-bans as him. Were they even invented in the seventies?

Only in a cat size.

it was once mentioned that those are Versace glasses, see
this strip

A man as badass as Ramses Luther Smuckles need not be concerned about the limitations of such as time.

Ray-Ban Wayfarers were ultra-cool from 1953 when they were introduced through to the early '70's. They were sported by actors, beats, musicians, ultimately nigh on everybody. They fell out of fashion for about a decade, and were revived in the '80's.

Note that the fact that Doyle Headely got run over was of no great importance to the Fight crew up til now, 'cos that's just the way they roll

I'm sure the tower sees it as a "pre-Fight disqualification." It just means the Champion will only have to kick 2998 asses this year.

Panels seven and eight are quite cinematic if you think about it.

I was going to comment THIS STRIP IS SO CINEMATIC

Five is not a high enough rating for this strip. On a scale of five, this gets, like, 20.

It is typical to take a BoC seriously when he is packed into a tiny sidecar two feet off the ground and wearing a small black helmet.

This might be my favorite strip ever. I literally squint when I read it, I think because if I didn't the Awesomeness rays would burn my eyes out like campfire marshmallows.

Gossip travels around GOFight faster than a highschool cafeteria.

Roast Beef is a Professional .

Not the only son anymore... But you can't blame RB for not knowing.

I want a "Wringer" and some whiskey. Seriously, a Big Dog would go down a treat.

What I want to know is: What is a Tri-Tip?

My dick.

A delicious piece of beef.

The way the rumour of eating part of Martinez's face syncs up with his plastic surgery (out of embarassment, rather than have Ray nibble on him) is flat out beautiful.

"he's good people..."

I need to start saying that

I think people often forget that these comics happened. So many comments these days that immediately judge without considering that there might be an arc up coming. Bit of patience Acheworld.

Absolutely. If this strip came out today half of Acheworld would be like "wtf that wasn't very funny Onstad has lost it" and the next day the same crowd would be all "oh yes this is awesome achewood is back on form!!!1"

Sometimes it makes sense to think of Achewood as not a comic strip but a comic book which happens to be published one page at a time.

Oh beef you so wacky all setting the color and tone of it all.

Hot dog chef has enough underarm action going on for buttering popcorn, if they served popcorn.

I used to enjoy buttered popcorn. This comment of yours may have saved my life just then, direhaggis.

Yuck!

Roast Beef is one crafty cat.

Rodney Leonard Stubbs' image seems to be getting hazier with each recollection. Either his image or my memory - definitely one of the two.

onstad does hair better than anyone i have seen. he is extra good at the balding mullet.

Beef's hardcore. The foodstand guy refers to him as multiple people.

This whole arc gets cold 5's all the way through

I actually slapped my English teacher when she refused to acknowledge that the gossipy hot dog chef was an archetype.

That is one sketchy-looking snacks stand
