i love the pochego

I am the first person to chubby this three year old comment.

I feel accomplished.

A robot, who lies. He is called Lie Bot.
That's how you write a character to last.

His lies, they are so elaborate.

First four-beef rated strip for me. All in all Liebot and Phillipe are the only characters that've stayed the same throughout the years.

There are those who might argue that the phillippe of the first few strips is significantly different than the present-day phillippe...

While I am one of those, I do see your point, especially with regards to lie-bot.

(If you are speaking strictly about their appearance, however, you would be entirely correct.)

Personality wise, Teodor hasn't changed a great deal. Still good at cooking, still kind of an internet womanizer.

By which you mean that he becomes a woman on the internet

That robot can lie like George Bush, period.

As in, it lies like a rug and gets away with it?

IF Lie Bot lies like George Bush
AND Lie Bot likes like a rug
THEN George Bush = A rug?

What did a rug do to you to deserve that kind of slanderous slur?

It really tied that room together.

That's not the issue at hand right now, dude.

Who's "George Bush?"

Shut the fuck up, Donny.

this strip made a 15-year-old me feel really smart for knowing what rubber soul was.

His "proof" is what sells it for me.

Is anyone else dorky enough to pull out Rubber Soul and see if there's any truth at all in this lie?

Because I'm about to.

Go for it.

I, once had some cheese, or should I say, it once had me...

wasn't it good
goudagonewood.

Now I'm up for some cheese & beatles.

well? Well?

Hey, my copy of Rubber Soul doesn't have liner notes! SHIT!

The Man stopped producing them. He wanted that pochego all to himself, none for the honest working guy.

You can tell simply from the pictures of the Fab Four inside the album that they know about the pochego, and no, they aren't sharing the secret, those naughty boys.

The sideburns sold me on his mendacity from panel 1.

The sideburns and the aviators - he's a mechanical used-car salesman!

Achewood owns the word pochego in google

Yeah, nevermind. Looks like I spoke too soon about the ears.

so i went all the way through the archives, rated my share of comics, and just now noticed the different expressions of roast beef in the ratings boxes

See a physician.

How is what is the first Lie Bot appearance rated so low? Hell the joke is even pretty good!

Exactly. It worries me that Achewood's active readership is all over the Great Outdoor Fight but finds a strip like this not even four out of five.

But I guess it's the same reason Amy Winehouse won a Grammy...

Personally, I think this strip is solid gold.

Lie Bot = best.

Lie Bot makes me wish I was a better man. A man, who was better at lieing.

Lie Bot himself is awesome, but he's seen better days, in my opinion, i.e. the retard and the egg.

the retard and the egg is probably my favorite one. jeeeesus

Lie Bot and little nephew are rarely seen these days.

Pochego doesn't even sound remotely French. Which is probably why he had to sell it with the Rubber Soul proof.

Also, nachos aren't an even remotely French food, so why would the best nacho cheese be from France? It really is just not a very good lie, but that is part of why it is funny.

I don't recall Lie Bot ever having to elaborate on any lies this much. Liner notes, pschah

Enter Lie Bot.

Wonderfully archetypal first lie for Lie Bot: Specific, easily disprovable, total nonsense, uttered with total conviction and a hint of condescension, hilarious

Rubber Soul is a pretty great album.

Pochego: It's listed right after George Martin's credit for the harpsichord solo on "In My Life."

" Hey man.. "

I just wanna push on his nose.

Lie Bot is not even funny.

Signed,
Lie Man

teodor doesnt know what cheese is good for nachos? thats a load of bullshit!

And if you play "Maybe I'm Amazed" backwards you'll hear a really rippin recipe for lentil soup.
