Oh no! UNIX!

Eunichs?!

Eunuchs.

Fat people who's egos are boosted at every mkdir.

I feel the need to correct my grammar and acknowledge that the word should be whose.

And for that I salute you.

It says something about Achewood's readership that a grammar correction gets 20 chubbies. :)

Far, far more than the original post.

As I write this, it currently has 76 chubbies and 2 lames.

I love Achewood readers almost as much as I love Achewood itself.

It makes me want to err against the English language, just so I can then apologetically correct my grievous atrocity.
... But to turn a mere accident into a cold-blooded crime is something I cannot bring myself to do.

Go ahead. Mkmydir. Punk.

bin/bash

man ebay

Great avatar/text combo. Tell us all about eBay, Notorious L.I.N.C.O.L.N.

unix is being a dick, all BEEP BEEP.

To be fair, unix is made by fat people.

Also to be fair, so is everything else.

Not porn.

...at least, not good porn.

There's a growing sub-genre called Softboy. SB.

I have been schooled.

Don't let em' school ya, or even try to fool ya.

by fat people, for fat people.

They need to get 'Beef up ins.

This is Unix! I KNOW Unix!

I know Unix too, every time I do a console command it's like writing:

"I have failed at life."

The last time I turned on my unix box was by accident. That said, I do use cygwin.

Thank you, Lex.

Computing Science lecture today, our lecturer said "Unix is made by, among other people, astronomers." and this strip came unbidden to mind.

Seriously, astronomers?

That's what he said. I haven't been able to find any other reference to it, though.

Maybe he meant people who are Astronomical objects, but not necessarily in the field of astronomy?

All exerting their own not inconsiderable gravitational pull
Smaller people completely orbiting them

UNIX does have eBay, but it's still in beta.

Unix has been in beta for 30 years, when I started using it in 1979. Linux is in permanent alpha.

I'm glad they whittled it down to one computer nerd later on.

Cornelius and Philippe seem like they're in some UNIX PR video, where they are 2nd-rate actors who are playing the role of some people who hold Common Misconceptions about UNIX. All some hot nerd chick who looks like she works at Best Buy walking towards the camera, asking if you knew UNIX had ebay, and if you knew the average weight of UNIX programmers was actually on average only 4% higher than Windows...

Fuck you for being some hot dumbass employed by a computer company! And fuck your calculated tight black pants!

SCREW YOU, HOT DUMBASS! FUCK YOU!

i would.

Philippe's line pushed this one up to a 3 for me. Otherwise, eh.

I tested out of a class on unix once, I didn't know a thing about it but the test was computerized and they didn't block the web browser or google. Yeah it was a cheap way to pass but that's how I would get by if I ever for some reason have to use Unix again.
