What the hell is Ray talking about in panel two?

I was going to make that EXACT comment, and then I scrolled down!

Why has no one animated this dance?

Because I wasn't here, bored, at work!

how disappointing is it that this is no longer avaialable to view? mad dissapointing.

It was great too. Is so sad.

SO sad.

Someone on this web-wide world MUST have it stored in their bleep-bloop box's artificial memory banks. Someone.

The saddest thing.

Just a rather sad thing.

I re-animated it.

You sir, are the man.

Rarely do I get to see an image either posted on or linked from assetbar...everythink gets broke.

According to the internet (and some Arrested Development) Sugarfoot was a tv show in the late 50's, Time Tunnel was a show in the mid 60's, and Shinto is the native religion of Japan. Have fun making sense of that.

The Time Tunnel is a club they had just left.

"Gorbachev's not downstairs.

He's at Tunnel."

Just go ahead and post the shit about slicing veins in the back of the neck and nailgunning someone to some board, we know you want to.

W... what?

Apparently you've never had the fortune/misfortune of reading American Psycho.

Sidenote: I think if soticoto read it he could update his cutesy "homicidal" shtick.

Nawp. Memorized most of the movie and won a costume award because I showed up as Pat and stayed in character. Never read the book, though. Apparently it's wildly uneven?

You have much of the movie memorized too? Maybe you and me is amigos!

You should read the book, though. It's good. Different from the movie. I find they complement each other quite nicely.

No, not at all uneven. Every part of it is evocative, uncomfortable and repulsive. I am deeply alarmed by the fact that you've heard it is uneven. It suggests a speaker who found something in that book not evocative, uncomfortable and repulsive.

I don't think the filmmakers really did a good job of capturing its horrible spirit, but that's one of those that I can honestly say I couldn't do no better.

Are you supposing that reading American Psycho would convince me to get my murders done before afternoon tea, as opposed to after it?
That wouldn't be proper.

p.s. Chubby for name-dropping me randomly.
I totally didn't realise until 2 years later.

Well, Tunnel was a real club in Manhattan in the 80's.

Time Tunnel was also famous for being so cheap that they wanted to reuse the same footage of the eponymous tunnel to begin and end every episode. This meant that the main characters somehow had to end each episode wearing the same clothes so the footage would match. It was truly one of the worst shows. You can watch it on Hulu.

Boobs and Big Black. I approve.

Were you a fan of "Sugarfoot"?
Sing the theme song with me!

Sugarfoot had been off the air 12 years before Michael was born.

He drank 5 shots of Cuervo dude. Are you even paying attention? Not a damn soul gonna make sense after that.

Ray is being Ray.

Ray is being Drunk.

Ray is being Ray

Ray thinks it is rad to be Ray.

You can hardly blame him.

I think it is rad to be Ray!

I think he is probably singing his tune in the manner of the spongebob theme in the last 4 pannels.

I think he's singing it to the tune of "Shaft"

That's the tune it went to in my head also.

Oh lord but I love the "Ray Song".

If you say the Ray Song to yourself as a mantra daily you will find your assets increasing... substantially.

On accident?

Nothing of Ray is truly on accident, he is the force that binds the world to a purpose.

...that I boned?

A comment left by nutmeg was marked lame too many times and excluded. (marked lame by salo, Connellingus, pitseleh, DorothyPoopBot)

The comedy genius of two erudite shoes arguing while being worn on the feet of a cat wearing a thong who thinks he has magical dancing powers cannot be overstated.

The silly tragic shoes vs Ray's unbeatable optimism/alcoholism

Hilarigenius be the way Ray dives into the 'drunk test'- "Ray Smuckles, Professor of Doctorology, present!"

presiding

The parallels between Ray's internal struggle and his feuding shoes smacks of Kerouac and Kierkegaard.

The St. Pauli girl and a tray full of pancakes are an excellent thing to swear by.

Y'know, if you just read the last panel and not the whole Ray Song.

BY THE POWER OF GREYSKULL, THE ST. PAULI GIRL AND A TRAY OF PANCAKES!

They're certainly great to be greeted by, upon waking.

I was surprised that Ray didn't go with "The St. Pauli Girl and a chair full of cakes".

Who is the girl who gave this a 5 and made it go up one point?

(The answer is: me. It was me. I deserve a biscuit so hard!)

Consider this a biscuit. More biscuits to those that raise this strip to a 4.7. My mother makes these biscuits and they are chocolate chip, there's enough brown sugar in them to make you see through time!

Never before have I been so tempted to use an emoticon.

Oh, what the hell. :D

Raised to a 4.6 by yours truly. Man, it feels good.

Actually, it was a 4.5 when I read it and I raised it to a 4.6. First time it's happened to me.

We are both winners! Of course that means that someone lowered the score in that short space of time. The balance hangs by a thread, people! Who will win next?
