Beef has a point.

It's only of such ferocity when no bone is on.

Beef has the point. There is no scarier force on this green Earth.

A comment left by rainwolfj was marked lame too many times and excluded. (marked lame by Vondicus, Deusoma, dismas, Private_Public)

You forgot the capital 'C'.
Circumstances, man, Circumstances .

Let's also take a moment to appreciate his war goggles.

Beef speaks from experience. He's furious at the world.

This arc has the best lines in the history of Achewood... "Bloggin' the fight through a tube in your face..." Take me home...

barry has pit stains but no shirt

way gross

I think that's hair.

i don't know, it looked like pit stains

Pit tattoos.

Or, if you want a portmanteau, pittoos.

that sounds like onomatopoeia for spitting

also pit tattoos = gross/painful

Yes, indeed. I would say 'ouch', but I'm afraid to open my mouth now.

a clenched-teeth 'eeeeeeeeeesh' does well.

Pit tattoos, Pit TAHtoos - it doesn't really matter

My feelings on your asset are PRO, my friend. Such a shame the trawlers in the archive are few and far between, because you seriously deserve hell of chubbies.

hey thanks man

Agreed. A gentle twist on a old favorite, hidden among the trash and compulsive repeition of the word "circumstances" like an Aladdin in the desert.

It is hair.

Way gross

Either we've got some speech-bubble mess-up here or Ted and Barry are fond of the old tough-guy "refer to yourself in the third person" routine

They are old chums who refer to one another

They point at each other in panel four.

They do not point at each other in panel five.

The Great British Fight was traditionally held at 11:30 pm in Hull city centre ... every night.

Except once where it had to be relocated to Milton Keynes. Bad year that.

It's true; having a bleedin' hilarious blog entitles you to privileges that would otherwise be unavailable to you.

such as getting your ass beat by 3000 dudes...

Well, 2999 dudes, anyway.

Unless you are having a really bad day.

a comic consisting only of the last two panels would be 5. everything else is tasty side dishes.

He needed a reason for Ray to accept these guys. The "wry observation" bit was a side effect of a necessary line. Couldn't be helped.

it could have ended after the 6th panel

With respect, you're nuts.

They do seem a sorry bunch: Ray was expecting bad-assery from all. Beef is simply elucidating the reasons for the general low quality of players.

What's your beef with Jeph Jacques?
Only problem with him is that all his characters have the exact same personality.

I don't usually lame things, but I felt that I had to lame this-- I apologize.
I personally feel that this is one of the wrongest statements I have seen on assetbar in regards to quotes and such.
That last line is what makes this strip bloody brilliant. That last line is what makes it for me.
Anyways, you are entitled to your opinion, but I had to defend the honor of one of my favorite RB quotes.

I don't know what "gormy" means exactly, but I feel like I do.

I hate these two guys.

Not to nitpick, but I think the speech bubbles in Panel 5 are switched. Barry says "they let barry in cause his blog is....".

Possibly. But note that in panel 4 they're pointing at each other, and in panel 5 they're not pointing at anyone, or maybe pointing at themselves.

But the implication is that Ted is British ("this is Ted's first go at the American fight"), but the speech bubble about Barry's blog is obviously spoken by a British person. Onstad point the balloons at the wrong characters in panel five.

I always thought they were both British--doesn't that explain things about as well, or am I missing something here? I'll definitely agree that something seems slightly off about that panel, though.

They are both British, you are correct. I was mistaken when I made that post.

At at least this time Onstad ain't takin the royal piss out of us.

Such hatred is more furious than a thousands thousand of such as furious ding-dongs.

i love that beef is still wearing his goggles. it's science.

Why is Beef still wearing the motorcycle goggles?

too right, CRBK.

toooooooo right.

i imagine them talking like tweedle-dee and tweedle-dum

if dem boys were Brits they would have said "honor" with a "u"

"Through Sound and Motion, you will be able to paralyze nerves, shatter bones, set fires, suffocate an enemy or burst his organs."
-Dune (1984)

I maintain that Beef's line in the end of this strip is the single best punchline in Achewood.
