i am amazed by how many people lame you. i hope crickets sound like the click of their mouse unrightfully laming commentors.

Since I can't reply directly to asherdan, I'll do it here. Hope that's okay.

asherdan: I'm sorry everyone hates you.
I don't hate you.

I'm awarding saint a posthumous chubbie in your honor.

You could reply to him and also give him the chubby yourself if you changed your comment filtering, unless there is a different reason you cannot.

Sure, but then I wouldn't have been able to use the word 'posthumous' in the wrong context. Oh wait, I guess I could do that anytime, couldn't I?

'herdan needs to stop 'postrophizing 'very damn name 'rites.

Random, arbitrary Chubb for the Dan.

oh god. i gave asherdan a chubby because of manflesh. you - you're a hero now.

What the hell happened to Dr Manflesh's comments anyway? I haven't seen any of them so far, and I'm sure he'd made some by this point... They MADE Assetbar!

Not sure. You may have him on auto-ignore. Which isn't your fault. It's OK man. It's OK.

... And would you have any clue how to undo such a thing?
Does it make a difference that I saw a short remark of his a while ago, so presumably I don't have the guy himself on complete ignore?

Either way, his absence makes me sad. =(

Ignore List. It's up in the top right corner. Click there and you shall find he.

Left. I searched the right futiley for a while until it occurred to me to check the left.
Anyhow... the guy's name isn't on the list. There were some rather funny names though.

And why didn't you mention that the text in the ignore list page is comedy gold? Hidden Onstad magic?! I'd 5 it if I could!

Oh shit. Yes. Left. I'm in Australia you know, so it's my Right, your Left.

You'll have to 5 AIU as most of those name's are his.

"herdan" however, makes you sound like some kind of pimp.

or a female version of Dan. There's Dan, then there's Her-Dan.

"herdan" however, makes you sound like some kind of pimp.

oh darn it.

koodge?

Funny, I had just read asherdan's comment and was thinking just that. Then I scrolled down and saw this. Chubby!

C'mon. He said the Einstein wig eclipsed the dialogue. That's an incredibly lame thing to say because it isn't true.

It's okay to not understand art or words as long you don't try to be a critic.

(I am pretty sure he did not mean "eclipse" in a literal sense.)

Y'know what's funny? I've read the entire archives through, the day somebody recommended Achewood to me. Then, I noticed there were comments, and I read those through. I've come to see a strange, polarizing trend: the swing of Asherdan's popularity. For a while, I thought he was the most horrible guy ever- but then, this happened. Why? What's going on? I haven't seen a change in his style of writing, or the content therein. In fact, it doesn't seem as if he, himself, cares that there is a change, he keeps on doing his own damn thing. I'm halfway through my assetbar trawl, so I have a feeling that opinions will swing in ways unpredicted from here on out... I'll check back in a month to make sure that I've been lamed out of continuity for posting this at the very top, as an assurance that things are still the way they are supposed to be. Cheers!

It also shows that he is the king of the guilt-trip.
(oh god I'm commenting on such an old strip please don't hurt me assetbarians)

The centerpiece of this strip is the "his hand is clear" comment. Einstein cannot write, because his hand is clear (from being a ghost).

Yes.

No. The final panel, with the crickets and the schoolchildren is what makes this strip.

Yes to both. It all works together.

Beef is always makin' Ray feel guilty about thinking stuff is rad. Alcoholism, war atrocities, and so forth.

You'd thing for a guy who knows his science, Beef would be a bit more impartial about Einstein's contributions to physics - it's not like doing the research that leads to a certain invention is morally equivelant to being responsible for the deaths caused by that invention.

I guess Beef just thinks that way though. You can't expect someone who has such as depression to really be an expert on ethics like that. He sees the worst in everyone.

I dunno, it seems like Beef is a guy who can't sharpen a pencil without faintly hearing the screams of someone getting stabbed by it.

Alt text: Oh who is Beef kidding that is what all the crickets in the night sound like to him anyway

Beef is just trying to get his boy Ray to wise up and stop channeling.

I interpreted it as Beef saying that Einstein was responsible for the atomic bomb to get Ray to shut the hell up, not necessarily actually believing that. It's not like Ray would know any better.

Quote:
Oppenheimer:Man, Einstein, we are gonna help mankind with this stuff.
EinsteinYou said it dogg. Seriously.

It appears you're confusing Roast Beef with Daniel Plainview.

I like how this looks like most of my Algebra 2 notes from my junior year in high school. Kilroy included.

ma h

i failed algebra II my junior year. im math retarded, i think.

Maybe it was like subconscious crossed signals or just such as regular mind noise

oh hey, it's my namesake

the cursive j equals regular j bit is just it for me

Personally I'm a big fan of ma(plus)h.

Kilroy was here.

Ray really is channeling Einstein.

Gramma K told Beef about Einstein and the bomb, and now that is all he thinks about when he thinks about sounds made by crickets.

Today's Blogs

Teodor: Cooking show, possibly.

Five, for the last panel dialogue alone.

I gave this one a 5 just for Ray's doodles. "ma h" is just hilarious.

j=j

First three panels: TOTALLY silence of the lambs

???

Cuz there's a smart guy in it or what?

The alt text makes this strip

no, ray thinks having alcoholism is rad.

It is time for a thought provoking comment and here it comes

the fiveiness of this strip is effulgent! Onstad knows Truman was a fugging war criminal! We are all complicit in every murder our taxes pay for! (chokes on carrot)(expires)

Do you think it's rad to be a Japanese-killer?

Coincidentally, the rad is the unit used to measure absorption of radiation.
Seriously.
