It says "Ni hao". It basically means hello.

I found out recently that every time I pronounce anything in Chinese to my students (who are Chinese, from Fujian) I speak in "that stupid-ass Beijing accent". Serves me right for watching that Chinese-language news when it's on.

It's all, cherr charr nerr narr

Why this particular comment received any chubbies in light of a comment that was made two months before it is completely beyond me.

You mean that comment that I boned?

You mean

... boned?

You mean coitus?

chubbied for the Dude reference

That one has 9 lames and is hidden to many.

It really should be a ratio, obviously the average person wants to see a comment with 82 chubbies and 10 lames. Any comment that gets enough attention, even if it gets hundreds of chubbies, will eventually collect a few lames.

People really like their Chinese around here

Me, well I just like Snoopys Balls

DAMNIT NOOOOO. I was going to give this comment its first chubby, but i used the last one on the "ching chong wing wong" guys.

"..."

"boned?"

ann yong!

You just keep blowing people's minds with these comments, and this time, it's mine.

A female philippe!

I like to think that this is how the otter captive breeding program operates.

The little salute in panel four is adorable...

I wonder how Teodor met Ultra Peanut?

The salute, a picture worth 1000 words

Maybe she was pants_come_off

She's a friend of a friend

Alt text: "It's chinese." Capitalization rendered as it was.

i know her

Aww...

Philippe is WAY to cute in panel 8.

I have long since wondered how Teodor found and invited a Chinese toy otter to his party, although I guess the curt answer is "the Internet".

I'd guess that most toy otters are made in China.

Chinese otter doll! So cute!

Phillipe is definitely at the top of his game here. Definitely.

i think we'd all like to see a return of the phillippe salute

Are you a bad enough dude to introduce yourself to the President?

Surely this needs to be at least a 4 for the first time we meet Ultra Peanut! Surely!!

My first thought on this strip was that she's a mail-order bride. A mail-order Chinese toy otter bride. Ordered by Teodor.

I hope Ultra Peanut returns for the wedding to make trouble for Phillipe again. PLEASE.

I will say this...Ultra Peanut is a bitch. She plays with my boy's heart.

Redundance!

The fourth panel, Philippe looks very adorable in. -le sigh- And it's kinda weird, Ultra Peanut wears a top but no pants... while Philippe wears pants but no top.

I'm pretty sure she's wearing a top and a skirt.

Ching Chong Wing Wong

Urrrrrtaaa Peanuuuut!

Philippe has wicked sack.
