Ray just stooped like that, arms outstrected, fag in his mouth, intense jiggling... fantastic.

Teodor thinks it's classy.

Six times?

Sorry college

I'm not sure 'classy' is exactly what Teodor has in mind. Perhaps he is simply intrigued?

Teodor's ears are all hard with this news.

This is one of the all time classics, and, infact, the strip that started me reading Achewood!

You and me both, my friend.

Meeee toooo

Yup, same here. From a link on https://cardhouse.com/ , if I remember correctly.

I wish i could remember.

I love it a thousand times!

Ray doesn't talk about his bone so much lately, does he? I wonder if it is because of the diabetes.

I think he's been pretty unlucky lately.

Klondike shit, man.

Diabeetus, diabeetus.

Rough times, dogg.

Gettin your bone on six times is a touch of class.

Unh, UNH, UNHH!!

BONE.. BONE.. BONE..

He was like...

i did not mean to lame you.

in fact, i meant to chubby you.

in fact, i meant to chubby because no one else had.

this is tragic and i am sorry.

Enough, all is forgiven. Now we drink! We feast! We spit on face of death for another day!

Yes! YES!!!

I am lacking the words to properly convey how much I want to join this celebration.

This cannot be chubbied enough.

everybody do the bone dance, BONE BONE BONE.

I love the face Beef makes when he is not in the mood for something.

me and my brother still do this to eachother (I got my bone on like six-time BONE BONE). the hand twirl in the last frame is optional.

also. the "I'm ten-kinds-of ____" is gold.

Astute readers will notice that it is the same twirling paw-motion Ray teaches Little Nephew when he wants to get his Bone on. Well played.

are you congratulating yourself being 'an astute reader'?

Even this early on, we see some subtle hints of Pat's homosexuality. Very nicely done.

Pat has become Pat. But I forgot that he did so before Beef became Beef.

au contraire, i see them as subtle hints of pats dickitude, rather than homosexuality. especially considering that his homosexuality suddenly manifests itself. its not as if it happens gradually. he just wakes up one day, craving another dudes erect penis.

Warm weather is just right for getting your Bone on.

Ray was going to respond with exactly that no matter what Pat said.

"I need new tires."

"You're tellin' me!...

"

Wrong - Ray is class. word.

BONE! BONE! BONE!

This one gets stuck in my head, all the time.

Alt text: "Sorry mom, sorry dad, sorry college." The college would be Stanford.

That alt text is my life.

Snotfrad needs no sympathy.

I think that alt text on pretty much a daily basis.

All time favorite alt text.

How cool is rays face?

Teodor likes it when Ray talks about his bonin'.

Early Achewood with demonstrably catlike bodies.

i gave it a 5 for the little hand motion in panel 6

my reasoning exactly

Is this the point at which Pat started to become an intolerant asshole?

Actually I think not. Pat's assholicity seems to germinate during the "...BONED?" story arc.

Man Ray is so nasty

Ya he is, just check out his bio .

Ray seamlessly transitions between boning two different ladies in panels 3 and 4.

Encouraged by Teodor's interest, Ray's pantomiming of boning intensifies to include a spinning of the left arm in panel 6.

I have had so many days like that. Unfortunately, none of them have been recently.

Six times?

The first 5 I have given. Truly perfect.

Like Ray, I give it 6.

i think this really was onstad's way of apologizing to the world for giving birth to the genius that is ray n the gang

ps this is my favorite strip

The alt-text stiff-armed me into giving this a five-out-of-five. Brilliant.

Everybody dance like there's bone in your pants! Do the bone dance!

Ray is drawn just beautifully here.

He raises one leg when boning...? Panels 3 and 4 are a little perplexing. does he... does he dance from foot to foot, effortlessly boning?

His boning dance bears considerable resemblance to the Running Man.

Someone has never done it doggy style.

haha. One of the best ever.

This strip and Beef's tendency to say "such as" are the Achewood speech manerisms that have bled into my life the most.

Bone. A verb so important it requires improper capitalization.

I don't think this was the first Achewood I read, but it was the first one where I knew without a doubt that I would love Achewood forever.

animation of the bone dance:

This animation has made me so happy.

So, today my little brother was playing Spyro: Year of the Dragon on our old PS1, and there was a skeleton that, upon retrieval of his missing peices, danced a jig refered to as his "Bone Dance". I immediately thought of this.

I do it too Ray, I do it too.

This strip is classic. I always got the feeling that Ray would continue to tell this "bone" story until he had found a suitably appreciative audience.
