This was my desktop background for a good three months.

My question is did Darren steal three packets of Ho-Ho's or three individual Ho-Ho's? These things matter whe it comes to getting killed by some Japanese dude.

when*

sometimes they put 3 Ho-Ho's in a package all together. I know this because I used to be fat.

You deserve a chubby for that comment.

(Go on, lame me. I am totally aware it was lame.)

I'm fat right now.

chubby, chubby

dont be so judgemental

Me too, but from stealing pasta, not ho-hos.

I'm fat from all the fuckin' I've been doing.

Have you developed a thing for corpulent women?

No, the women have develeped a thing for his... corpulency.

His corpulency that they....boned?

what is worse, to be a person who smiles and is actually happy at seeing that hostess cakes are currently three to a pack, or being a person who is too dignified and intelligent to ever truly be happy. One wastes the excess that they use, the other wastes everything that sustains their joyless life.

I had to give this a chubby just to watch it die get to 100. You are welcome.

With all the permits you have to get anymore, it's more cost effective to just beat a man almost to death and watch him suffer than to top him off. Fuckin Reno.

I love this strip because it combines two of my favorites: Achewood and Johnny Cash. However, I can't see the alt-text. I need to figure out why.

the alt-text isn't working on this assetbar thing yet. I guess they're having trouble implementing it. anyway it's just "A boy named Cassandra"

come on seriously there are like a million dudes out there that could whip up a perl script to do that no problem and i bet at least half of them read achewood.

Dude AssetBar is a new Product such as implements a database directly in the the file system on network servers

The site architecture all consolidated into a single tier

Achewood all being their first featured site

It is in beta they may have bugs to fix before getting to alt text

Other dudes all not knowing the environment their code all causing stack overflow errors

(No, I don't really know what any of that means.)

The alt-text has since been fixed, and it totally makes this strip a 4: "A Boy Named Cassandra"

perl! i know perl. shit, i'm chubbying over a computer programming language that i can write in. and thus begins my descent into nerddery.

You know Perl. You're not just beginning that descent...

Yeah... but they made me learn in school! I tried as hard as I could not to!

Life ain't easy for a boy named Cassandra.

I lived in Reno. and I still have a Warrant for my arrest there, for an unpaid ticket.

Who is Beef talking to?

Ray, probably.

What makes it a cup of rum if it's empty?

you are not a rum drinker, then.

On a phone in a dark room.

Federal prison has been referred to as "ass-rape prison" 'round these parts. So, no big deal basically.

This is a common misconception, Federal prison is typically better (well, more strictly) run than most state prisons, and typically has far fewer sexual assaults per capita, but typically allow fewer personal freedoms.

If I were sentenced to a federal prison, I would be more than willing--enthusiastic even--to sacrifice a few freedoms in exchange for not being raped.

That's what makes you a coward.

Please, never change your avicon.

My daddy left home when I was three
And he didn't leave much to ma and me
Just this old guitar and an empty bottle of booze.
Now, I don't blame him cause he run and hid
But the meanest thing that he ever did
Was before he left, he went and named me "Cassandra."

I tried to mourn by falling into a burning ring of fire. I was in the hospital for a month, and the county says I'm not allowed to buy kerosene anymore.

You tried, and that's the important thing.

Whenever I hear talk of spraying someone with lead, I no longer think of machine guns or shot guns, I think more of such as firehoses spewing forth molten lead.

the alt text references a song written by Shel Silverstein (yeah The Giving Tree guy)

Really, Lie Bot?

Actually, Powderfinger's truthin' pretty hard here.

Written by Silverstein, sung by Cash. Hence its inclusion in this here strip.

I did not know this, but having learned it, I am not surprised.

Also, the Wikipedia plot summary of "A Boy Named Sue" is very reminiscent of the "The cat [does X]" style of alt-text.

Ok, this is hell of creepy that I am awake now because I had a nightmare about shooting a man in Reno and this is the first strip I read. No more sleep for me.

I grew up in Reno. It used to be a good kind of place to shoot a man in, all with empty lots and desert and being all kinds of wanderlusty and dilapidated. Now everyone rides bikes and too many people go to outdoor concerts. I'm glad I left.

How do I get all this damn pop up spyware off of my Macbook Pro?

Have you tried going and fucking yourself?

Try what I did. Only $10k up front.
