Recumbent tai-chi is the fighting style where a cat gets on his side and curls around and bites the first thing he sees. My cat does this when he decides I've lost Achilles tendon privileges.

you know what you did

Chubbied for "Achilles tendon privileges".

Your cat is a sonovabitch

Actually, unless they noticed and did the threshold trick, they wouldn't know it was you anyway.

Actually many consider you worse

With good reason. I AM worse.
Not like I even try to be though. Winds me up when people assume I try. I'm B.o.T though. Blood of Troll. I'm what happens when people who specialise in winding folk up have a kid.

Cats are lizards with fur.

Cats emote, you just have to know what you're looking for. Their ears and tails are just as telling as a dogs.

Yeah, but as I said like, thirty seconds ago in a different comment, dogs have been bred through the generations to seek out human company and look to humans for support and help, and to supply the same in the reverse. They did an experiment once with a wolf and a dog - they put a small piece of meat in a cage with a piece of string running through the bars. Both the wolf and the dog succeeded in getting it out the first time, but then they attached the meat to the bottom of the cage. The wolf got more and more aggravated as it tried to pull the meat out, while the dog tried maybe about three times, then sat down and looked at the nearest person as though to say, "...help?"

Cats are... wild. They say that a dog is only a few generations away from a wolf, but cats are different. They're reluctantly domestic, I think. I've never lost the feeling that when a cat looks at me with those alien gemstone eyes it's thinking of itself, ten times larger, chasing me through dry scrub and smelling blood.

Some people like having an animal that secretly wants to kill you and get your insurance left to it in your will. I'm just not one of them.

They don't have to be ten times larger to chase you. My dad had a cat that chased him because it didn't like his shorts . I, unfortunately, am one of those people.

In the cat's defense, they were damned ugly shorts.

I like the fact that cats are wild and don't offer unconditional love. I want to earn my cat's respect. I'm pretty sure my cat sees himself only as a roommate. He knows I bring home the Purina and he would need me if wolverines attacked.

Providing shelter, food, heat and love should earn your cat's respect.

But, of course, this is a cat we're talking about.

I like the fact that cats are independent. They aren't like a floozy dog who'd run up and lick Hitlers for a squeaky toy.

I did mean face there but feel free to just go buck wild like a concubine whose momma never held her hand.

Cats are Hitler!

oops

If you didn't at least subconsciously pull this from Niel Gaiman, you have yourself a satisfying side career in some whimsically inspired fictional cat poetry. Good on you.

Some people like having an animal that secretly wants to kill you and get your insurance left to it in your will.

But enough about my ex! [/rimshot]

You look for emotion in your dog's ass?

Whatever.

Dogs are nice, but they're basically for fascists.

I thought that was the point this story arc was celebrating?

Alt text is a reference to a Lance Henriksen line in Dead Man.

Which religious icon resembles a squashed cat's head?

David Koresh?

I was sitting here for five minutes trying to remember where I'd heard (most of) that line before I read your comment.

Thank You for saving me from what would have most likely been an hour of madness before it came to me.

Santa Cruz - where your cats can nail each other in broad daylight, six feet behind a dude who is drinking a beer. Nobody will bother to take a picture of this.

That's where... I live...

Nail each other?

you can see it in last year's tapes
once you know what to look for

Oh, totally. "My Wife Has Huge Credit Card Debts" is practically etched into every square inch of Perfect Ron Sipes's knotted trapezius.

Tis a worthy tat
-=My Wife Has Huge C-C Debts=-
for a fightin' cat

I had actually clicked four, then changed my mind when I saw how awesome the final panel was.

HOLY SHIT, I'M FROM SANTA CRUZ!

Did you try to qualify?

"region"
No 'l'. It obviously has regional, as in county or state quotas.

Light bulb clearly equals butterfly. It is so obvious.

it is such a complex topic.

Haha I love how Sound and Motion's logo has nothing to do with sound. Light = Motion ?

I AM HELL OF EXCITED TO SEE HOW THIS UNFOLDS

Just focus on Sype's mustache in that photograph...the longer you look, the more amazing it appears.

lol i am loving this arc :D

the last panel is the greatest intro ever.

"Through Sound and Motion, you will be able to paralyze nerves, shatter bones, set fires, suffocate an enemy or burst his organs."
