Interaction between Lyle and Philippe is always amazing, and this is probably the most amazing example.

ONSTAD: WE NEED MORE OF THIS.
written in flaming gasoline, on lawn

his lawn.

I hope some Achewood-savvy TV writer works Lyle's last line into an actual police drama show. I'd be so happy.

"Heated-up marijuana" is an awesome phrasing.

I like to think that Phillipe pronounces it "Mary-juh-wanna"

Man, Phillipe really does hate that marijuana.

IT'S ILLEGAL

sometimes it seems you only every reply when your avatar makes the comment that much more orrsum.

I had the same thought, in the same context.

So... you wanna see a movie or summin'?

Can't we just go straight to the sex? I've got an early start.

Panel 4, the sarcastic Lye eyebrow quirk is seen. Humankind is saved apon giving such a treasure.

see, I think it just makes him look kind of chastened, which seems weird.

I thought he was confused. I don't think Lyle can be chastened, and especially not by Philippe. He told Philippe to shove it , gave him a gut-punch for Christmas , and used him as a bowling ball . Lyle would probably seeks criticism from Philippe as a form of validation.

yeah, chastened can't be right. it's LYLE.

don't forget that Lyle called Phillipe a FAG via custom singing car-horn.

It caused problems in the community.

Lyle is surprised and confused that the five year old is unfamiliar with the purpose and operation of a bong. Seems pretty in-character.

Lyles solution to the immorality of illegal activity is an excellent one. Especially since getting high never really hurt anyone that much anyway. Bill Hicks has said some excellent things on the subject.

Bill Hicks is the reason that I am not scared.

Ever.

C.O.P.S.

i laughed. so. hard. at C.O.P.S.

philippe, you are rad.

To a Philippe, the worst consequence for your actions is to be yelled at.

Lyle's smokin' bongs

When Lyle and Philippe interact Lyle usually winds up voicing some fictional character for him.

I count four punchlines, all from Lyle. That dude delivers .

Heated up marijuana... Lyle totally has a vape!

yay philippe came up with the best dope slang ever!

if i ever made statements calling it smoking dope instead of heated up-marijuana, they were made by an incorrect life i no longer maintain.

Is good. These days dope implies heroin, so we hope you're not riding the dragon.

I hide heated-up marijuana in many things, up to,and including, my lungs.

No Philippe, you are not boring! You... are... rad!

Reading the idea of heated up mary just makes me think of of some kind of luxurious chilled mary or something.
I guess what I am trying to say is that I think marijuana is kind of like merlot.

As a cannabis connoisseur, I feel the highest level of enjoyment in terms of taste and prolonged sessioning comes from room-temperature mary, such as comes through a behosed vaporizer.

Once again, Lyle proves his incredible wit even in light of his horrifying alcohol abuse and ability to hold little more than a "skullin'" job.

I somehow always hear Lyle as having a gruff voice, namely Daniel Day Lewis; straight outta Gangs of New York. He's even got the moustache!

lyle's face in panel four is a perfect transition between serious and fed up with the conversation.

Best Lyle expression ever in panel 4.

Never call a bong a dumb invention. It may be the savior of us all.
