I just want to know if Ray had the helmet laying around or bought it just for that purpose.

Alt text implies he got the Legionairre gear on Ebay.

He wears the crown after he fucks, and the Roman gear before going on the prowl for ladyfolk. Boosts his game.

Clothes make the man, dogg.

I think the more ostentatious helm = mega lay, which must have been something to trump the chick he got 'hella rutty' with, all having the thong underwear showing in a professional environment.

I believe the phrase you were in fact looking for is "mad rutty".

Yeah my bad. I still postulate the mega lay theory regardless.

Or at least before gruffling some mad Domino's.

I would have thought that Ray wouldn't buy Domino's pizza after Judas Priest Friday. It seems like getting stabbed in the ears by Death, spontaneously combusting and falling out a window would teach you a lesson. I guess I am wrong.

Ray doesn't really learn lessons the way most rational people do.

I believe that was an alternate future in which Ray does NOT go sit in a chair with Phillipe and discuss the Chinese, peanuts and candy, and instead eats the pizza.

This would also explain who the second person he was talking to is.

I suspect something less mundane. Like he won it as a trophy when he fought the Golem of Ten Thousand Tongues or something similar. That cat does not live normally.

come on, no question, dude went on ebay after watchin' gladiator one night. come on!

i want to know what the last little piggy was? this little piggy is lying down bleeding in the backyard? this little piggy is on the run from the law after gunning down our roommate?

this little piggy cornelius is dead.

Well now we know that Roast Beef is named after the middle piggy (who ate roast beef) because he is the middle cat (not Ray, not Pat). And since Pat would then be the last cat (or last piggy) he ran wee wee wee all the way home.

i hae to demonstrate any serious knowledge on nursery rhymes involving the toes (of all things!) but i believe pat would be the piggy who "had none", presumably of the tasty dinner the piggy before him partook in- the spoils, one may argue, of Ray, the piggy who in fact went to market.
Sigh.

hate, rather...!

Yes, Pat is the little piggy who had none.

He had none because he is a vegulon.

Ray goes to the market on folks.
Right to town.
Delivers them in the car of pain.

<3 this one so hard

Oh my god! Are you saying that these 25-year-old men that I hang out with are really 13-year-old girls... in hulls ?
...on the internet ?!?

Usually the other way around, but you never know.
Even 25 (now 28) year old men want ponies sometimes.

hoooly shit I forgot all about this one. I like this "highest rated you haven't looked at" button. maybe as this site ages they could add like some kind of weighted "high rating and you haven't seen it in kind of a long time" button.

anyway, pretty much every panel in this comic is hilarious, especially the second one and the last one, and the second-to-last one

It is definitely good for some "woah I forgot about this one"s

I was going to say something about how it sucks that it doesn't work with looking at non asset bar viewing but then I realized then I would never have any "haven't seen" comics

Ray: I don't know what that means.

OH, HEE, HEE, HEE.

Man, Pat is an asshole .

I'm too lazy to count - how often is Pat on the receiving end of Fuck You Friday? It really seems like it should be pretty much every FYF but that would actually get kind of old, and I ain't want that much Pat hangin' around.

Hmmmm. Did Onstad recently watch The Trouble with Harry?

Or the Life of Brian?

Bbbbbbbbiggus...Ddddddddddickus?

^This.

He has a wife, you know... Her name is Incontinentia......... Incontinentia BUTTOCKS!

Haha... Phillipe played This Little Piggy Went to Market with the toes of a man who has just suffered three gunshot wounds.

Ray is too self-conscious to declare himself Broadicus Dickus around his crew.

Honestly I doubt it. He just did it when it happened. He's very zen in that way.

Carpe diem, Broadicus Dickus!

Your grasp of Latin is astounding .

Philppe still looks up to Pat as an authority on chemistry, even though Pat likely despises him. There's something heartbreakingly cute about that.

What inappropriate timing on Philippes part. His mother should be around to answer such questions, or maybe he should be going to school. Why isn't he?
There are numerous unanswered questions about Philippe, the innocent little otter swathed in a dark and mysterious past.

Speaking of American Schools, they sure seemed to rais you well.

Aperantly, they discremanated against him.

speaking of unanswered questions, nobody answered Philippe's question about evaporation.

I want the second panel to be my desktop wallpaper.

Cornelius lay there bleeding for over five and a half hours and still survived. This is why the dude won the Badass Games.

It's pretty trivial to survive a gunshot wound when you're a stuffed animal.

Thank you for doing the maths for us all.

Re-reading that, it looks insincere. Trust me, it's not.

I imagine Philippe was quite distressed after that game of This Little Piggy Went To Market

What's a miggroid?

I'm guessing it's a concatenation of "My niggroid,"

do you think gruffle is equivalent to "get," as in "order"?

or perhaps it just means "eat."

Gruffle means eat, there's another use somewhere that supports that, I think?

this strip is AMAZING. usually its like 'build up for the joke, joke.' this strip is cold 'joke joke joke joke.'

four times?

To be fair, I would not know what that means either.

It is not code languague. It took 20,000 seconds and one game of This Little Piggy Went to Market because it took 20,000 seconds and one game of This Little Piggy Went to Market. Nothing else Teodor could say would make more sense given what happened and how long it took.

The question is: Upon whose feet was This Little Piggy Played?

OK since other people are being dicks I'll explain (answering both pyro_ike and charchar's questions, I hope):

Philippe went and dutifully counted to 20,000 per his arranged Hide n' Go Seek agreement with Pat. When he came out, Pat was gone, and Philippe noticed a resting Mr. Bear. I like to think that Philippe got distracted, as 5 year olds do, and did This Little Piggy on Mr. Bear's foot, only noticing something was wrong when Connie didn't give a little giggle when "this little piggy ran aaaaaall the way home!"

This is open to interpretation.

According to Pat, it is Mr. Bear who is counting. Phillipe is just helping him by timing 20,000 seconds with his stopwatch, one for each number he figures Cornelius is silently counting. What is ambiguous is why Philipe then played the piggy thing. For fun? As a way to test if someone is dead? Both?

Yeah, sorry, I meant that he "helped" Cornelius count, but he still counted.

For your second question, my own particular opinion was expressed above...probably just for fun, the kind of thing a 5 year old might get distracted and do. Now that I think about it, maybe it was his "fun" way of trying to stir/wake up Cornelius after he realized he wasn't a-seekin' when the time was up.

I hope someone plays kids' games with my toes when I die. I heard that is a sign of respect in some cultures.

My cats will probably eat the soft parts of my face when I die.

i hope i can be of some similar use when i discontinue living.

Well yes, that much is clear. But more to the point, how do you interpret that when it comes out of nowhere in a conversation about a friend getting shot.

It's all like, " What? "

I wouldn't have put it past Pat to stone cold eliminate the only witness. Phillipe is lucky he got out of this with just a little bit of emotional trauma.

Today's Blogs

Lyle: A minor theft.
Nice Pete: Chapter 11: Eustace K. Dobbs

Teaser from Nice Pete's entry (and greatest description ever):

"...Eustace K. Dobbs was a broken-minded man, and he lived in a world of broken ideas."

Lyle becomes suddenly ingenious when effort is required to re-enter a situation in which he can access brown liquors.

And then Phillipe declares "Olly-olly-oxen-free." That's when realises shit has gone down.

Looks like Pat proved himself a coward who would desert a dying man.

Anyone can not know what's going on, but somehow Ray elevates not knowing what's going unto an art.

isn't 20,000 seconds about over two weeks?

No, it is about five hours and thirty-six minutes.

What's the betting that that's actual Roman centurion armor Ray's wearing?

damn it man, if Ray is not my friend Damarcus exactly.

He talks just like that in IM form and loves spending money.

That thing in the last panel, I connect with it. Like when you log in to the messenger and pull some lame joke to a friend and he tells you that a mutual friend has died. Made me feel like a douche.
