"basically like treasure" was among the first Beefisms to enter my daily lexicon.

Roast Beef would like The Office

British or American?

The good one.

They're both good but only the British one makes you feel like you're actually seeing reality in a different way. The US one is slick and well-made but it doesn't nauseate you.

I haven't watched every episode of the American one, but I can say it's defintely had moments that match the British one in terms of embarrasment/unease. I'm guessing that's what you're referring to...?

Still, there's not much point in comparing the American to the British one. While the American one is fine and has only gotten better over time, the original trumps in every category; I have a hard time understanding people who don't accept this (which would be most of my friends).

(I'm sure this is probably some cliched internet argument, sorry to prolong this.)

They're both very good, just in different ways.

Yes, but the British one is very good in much better ways.

I won't pretend I get the context of half the jokes. and unless I go live in england I probably never will. I'm sure there could be alot about it that's better, I just can't get past the cultural 'wtf just happened' aspect. not that I don't enjoy alot of world lit, music, film. just for a show of this nature, it's hard to understand the satire out of context.

There's simply not as many funny jokes as there is in the American version. While it was more realistic (until the Christmas specials) and depressing, it wasn't as funny as the Anmerican version. I personally thought Extras was better Gervais.

I personally fucking hate all of it. Feeling sympathetically embarrassed is not funny to me. Laughing because I don't know how else to react to a situation is not laughing for the right reason.

... fuck yeah.

Also to clarify: I say I hate all of it, but I've never seen the American version. If it does indeed contain "funny jokes" then it might just be out there enough for me to enjoy it.

But for now I'm just going to watch Futurama from back to front over and over again.

Especially Bender's Big Score! 1101101...

You must just be so excited it's back on the air. I know I am.

Yeah, british. Your avatar made me laugh. Chubby.

I think his space monitor only gets Cheers.

Oh Ray, you should know by now that both Mr. Bear and Philippe are capable of these things.

Yeah minors usually act like morons when you give them booze, Ray, I'M CALLING THE COPS

He could've brewed him up a ginger beer!

ginger beer is a rad beverage.

Especially if used in making a Moscow Mule, that classiest of long pours.

your mom is a rad beverage.

Rad in the same way that Safeway grape cola is rad, where you're like "Sweet! I can SO afford that, even in this economy!"

grape soda is the shit on toast, dude.

Alt text: It is good to be back, because neither of my flights perished.

Well, at least he doesn't pick up Charles In Charge.

So yeah, my skill sets are perfectly conducive to bringing back Beefy.

It's just a deep transmission
from Transsexual, Transylvania.

I do not see Beef as being a fan of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I am sorry about this, Charchar.

Beef can not be distracted when singing the praises of Cheers for it is basically like treasure

I don't know why but in panel 4 I totally thought Ray was on top of a roof.

Panel 5. Sorry.

With his martini glass horizontally glued to the building's wall?...
Do you think it is rad to have alcoholism, snowman?

He was just trying to be closer to Beef.
