i wanted to enjoy this movie as a kid but i couldn't watch past this scene. i just couldn't figure that a guy would do something so nasty

I think that since my mom was so anti-that scene made it easier for me to get past it.

You're right. It was mega-nasty. It was dogshit.

I believe this is one of the best examples of how arbitrarily quoting old strips is just fucking stupid most of the time.

cunt

Was a sock really the best thing they could find to represent the ding dang worm?

I don't think you could find anything that represents a ding dang worm better than a sock.

nobody has a tacklebox with a rubber worm they could borrow?

The worm went in Chekov's ear. And Paul Winfield's.

It's a pretty gross scene. I don't think I'd want to emulate it any more truly, either.

OMG HOW CUN U SEY THT STONDAD CUD B IMPROVD UP ON

this is a 5 baby. he closes his eyes and gets a ding dong worm in his dang old ear

Panel 3 for the goal. Those are in my top six last words.

KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!

the reason I like this strip is that onstad is classy enough NOT to use that line.

just imagining teodor sporting khan's fake pecs.

oh DAAAAANG IIIIIIIIIIIITTT

He'd have fun little pecs!

And the guns. Although Teodor would be hard-pressed to pick up Beef one-handed like Khan could do to Chekov.

All Salma Hayek goin' "Niiiiccee Pecs!"

Those were real pecs, my friend. Even at 62, Ricardo Montalban was a ripped motherfucker.

if we had audio of this, those last 2 panels would be So awkward sounding.

He's clearly not comfortable in the role.

2 lines of dialogue and this is Hamlet.

Alt text: "Dang, the worm is hell of killing his brain."

I love how Beef has to lean in for Téodor to reach his ear with the sock.

panel 4, his face is just so perfect. he is leaning forward to recieve it.

This one gets a 5 because Onstad resisted the insanely overused scene of Shatner screaming "Khan!" A funny quote, to be sure, but too often seen

"Buried alive... buried alive...."

Ah, ah, ah, ah, buried aliiiiiii-iii-iii-iiive!

ah, goddamnit. I said essentially the same thing above, then scrolled down to read this. ah well, bring the lames.

that ding dang worm hella killed him!

The Roomba!s are so superfluous to the execution of this scene. They are not necessary.

That's what makes it awesome.

Much like Geometry.

I can picture the set-up for this one
BEEF: (anticipating struggle w/ Teodor) Dibs on being Kirk
TEODOR: Sure
BEEF: (shocked T. did not put up more of a fight.) Ooooooohhhhh Shhhiiiiiittttttt.

Once again, the worm (a "ceti eel"), is put in Chekov's and Dave Winfield's ears, not Kirk's.

Paul Winfield. Although there should be more baseball players in sci-fi movies.

I stand corrected and uncertain as to what the hell I was thinking on that. I have shamed those who love me.

Fortunately I do not love you... but then, I do not know you.

It's a shame Teodor didn't spring for Ricardo Montalban's fake pecs on this one.

Ricardo didn't fake them pecs. He had hella workout regimen for that movie.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084726/faq#.2.1.1

I also vaguely remember Montalban's autobiog mentioning that the pecs were real, too.

The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. I am, and always have been your friend.

of all the souls i have encountered in my travels...his was the most... human.

yeah. sorry. lame me all you want...i effing <3 star trek.

Noo!
it's going to hella kill him

I am positive that is a direct quote of the movie.

I can never get enough of this floor vac thread. I really, really want one.

Beef turned into Boomhauer for his first line, there.

I enjoy the contrast between this strip and this one .

I love how the Roombas don't even move at all so it is like they are just acting out the scene normally BUT STANDING ON ROOMBAS.

This is easily the best Roomba Cinema comic. There isn't a single panel of this strip I don't laugh at every time I read it, I wish I could give this a seven.

I can't believe that no one has picked up on the genius of this strip- they are on Roombas but have no need to move. The Roombas are entirely uneeded, yet there they are.

Note: Theodor uses the same pose whether acting Khan or Vader.
