it worries me how warm that vodka martini is going to get before santa arrives.

That was the first thing I noticed. :c\

I am worried about the evaporation. I am also worried that Santa, being oldschool will prefer a gin martini.

definately gin.

I dunno, this seems pretty on-the-nose.

It is another artist/writer's interpretation of Philippe. Obviously other people are not going to speak with Onstad's voice exactly. It is interesting to see this once in a while.

But... what's the point of having guest strips if they're just like the regular strips?

Would you rather have nothing? I think he runs guest strips during times when he is not available.

Hear Hear! The speaker recognises the thoughtful fellow with the spectacles and ideas similar to mine!

I...can't even fathom this. I'm not the biggest fan of all the guest strips either, but...I mean, at least they're somewhat interesting at times? It gives us something to post about? Why would you rather have nothing?

These people cannot embrace change...They feel threatened by it...They are the neo-cons of assetbar.

I would give you another chubby if I could sir. I say fie, fie to the nay sayers. While the guest comics aren't always as good as Onstad's, some of them are awesome in their own right. The people who whine about it have to much time on their hands, and are likely troglodytes living in their parent's basement. Some of them are likely to have never been laid.

You make it sound like there's someone on Assbar who ISN'T living in their parents' basement and HAS been laid.

Well, I personally moved out the day after I graduated from high school and have been married for 4 years which means I've now had sex 4 times.

with the same person? only counts as once.

guaranteed , actually.

after a mediocre guest strip, we can all further appreciate the genius that is Onstad.

What's the point of YOUR MOM

the point of YOUR MOM is your wang

HIs main character's personality's is fairly similar, I think he subconsciously merged the two.

I think the 2nd panel is right on. 1st is sort of Phillipe-ish, but the 3rd... no. not really.

Just as well we're talking about Philippe and not Phillipe here then, isn't it?
Cos 3rd is totally Philippe, and 2nd not so much so.

Everyone around Philippe thinks it is rad to be an alcoholic. It's gonna rub off on a kid.

santa would have to do a whole lot more than deliver presents to good kids yearly if he did the whole q-tip routine. he'd have to hold some sort of rehab for the bad kids so they could get presents too.

John Allison is one of my Top Five Webcomics Dudes.

Scary-go-round and Achewood are my two most favourite webcomics . . . when they come together, it is like a food combination that is unimaginably delicious in theory, but in actuality it is just sorta tasty.

Gotta give it a 5, anyway, 'cause, you know . . . John Allison playing with Chis Onstad's toys = hooray.

Yeah I kind of feel the same way...like figs and goat cheese, they're really good together, but I just kind of expected my tongue never to need to taste again and instead I ate again the following day.

I am glad there is someone else who has the same exact favorite webcomics as me, anyway.

whaddya know? ...apparently I'm Santa Claus

I think Phillipe knows that Ray is Santa Claus, at least for his house, judging from his gifts.

Phillipe reads like Nice Pete in this strip.

John Allison is still a dude though

Actually, Phillipe reads like half the characters in Scary Go Round. I do like Allison's comics, though. Maybe he should try Nice Pete sometime.

"Outsider"? Careful, you're sounding distinctly cultish.

CULT, I said CULT.

If you think that this is anything else, you're lying to yourself. Now drink this.

OH YEAAHH!

This was up for like a week when I started reading Achewood. I read the whole archives in two days and this was the last one. I guess what I am trying to say is I have nostalgia for this one, even if it is a guest strip.

I'm pretty sure, no, absolutely certain, that Philippe would never say "I like to think..."

Or "I like to imagine..."

I was personally put off by "...for me, Philippe."

Of course, since he was the only character, I was ready to assume that he was talking. But when that came up, I thought someone else was talking to him .

Guest strip, eh. But at least it looks cute.

That really put me off too. not the worst of the guest strips though.

I thought Santa was always the designated driver.
