I think there is going to be a problem

Am I seeing things or is there but one comment?

This does not look good for the future.

It's a rerun. It happens. My curiosity and laziness are doing battle over whether or not I should look at the original's comments for comparison.

My money is on lazy, though.

Before I posted this I could change the rating on this strip by up to 0.5.

This is too much power for one man to wield. I......I worry about my soul at times like these.

It's okay, kitty. Niiiice kitty. NO! Don't explode your face! Bad kitty!

I am in the process of obtaining a building warrant at the moment, so L.I.N.C.O.L.N's rhymes resonate deeply with me.

Your "building warrant" phraseology is peculiar to American ears.

Why, yes, I am a little drunk right now, why do you ask?

No, it doesn't mean I'm going to arrest a building.

Deputy Aperson in: House Arrest

Curiouser and Curiouser.

So what's up with this strip (in Assetbar terms)?

- Only 9 comments (as of 10/16/08) so far, none older than a month.

- only 2834 views, compared to 88085 on the strip before and 36412 on the strip after. They aren't reruns, but similar strips have a lot more views than ~3000.

- Plus, I don't know about anyone else, but all of a sudden this strip (and the latest strip at the time, which I hadn't looked at yet) showed up in my "You haven't seen these most commented" lists, which I had long ago cycled all the way through and had defaulted back to the top strips.

Was this strip somehow missing from Assetbar until recently, or did it suddenly reveal itself to me? I started to think it might have to do with some "milestone" I hit recently (1000 comments or chubbies or something...), but it doesn't look like those necessarily match with all the other commenters here.

Odd.

FineOak, you are The One. It is a big responsibility.

did you know that Neo is a anagram of One? It's true. And matrix is an anagram of rim tax.

But, anyways, was their anything weird with how you got here kickstart, or was it just random? Just wondering.

damn..."a anagram"..."their"... when will this day end

I think the same as you; it showed up in my "You haven't seen these most viewed" section.

I guess I figured I found the "non-secret secret strip": for ages, I'd seen now people with 1 more "Strip(s) viewed" than me, even though I had supposedly been through all of them. Then, all of a sudden, this one shows up on my long-since "You haven't seen these highest rated" list.

Oh well.

Isn't it odd though? I propose a secret clubhouse party.

Cocktail Recipes gets the drinks.

You may have juice or spring water.

Fuck that!

Language young lady! Don't make me scrub your mouth out with my, um, nevermind. Fucking restraining order...

Your shiny metal ass?

Howl, you appear to be a bizarro west-coast version of me.

this could be a Good Thing or this could be a Very, Very Bad Thing.

Why would it be a Bad Thing?

The walls of reality have broken down: that is what has just happened to me. This is like sliding through the wall at the end of level 1-2 of Super Mario Bros. and finding the mysterious never-ending water world. (That happened to me when I was like five or six, and then I forgot about it and thought it was a dream until many years later when the internet told me it was true. One of the most mysterious experiences of my life.)

Or when you are playing pokemon blue and MIssingo comes up and your game is never the same...

I know what you mean, brother.

Missingno was awesome.
I kept buying new ones in order to see him.

The secret is out. There will be more after me. Your world is changing, secret strip club.

Ooo, Secret Strip Club.

Shhhhhhhh

Oh These Secret Strip Clubs!

Mannn dang! I thought this was something new, and I already rated it!

Guess I wasn't here before.

HEY GUYSH WHATSH UP??!?

I BROUGHT DIP

where you been wt?

Thailand for 3 weeks. 3 whole weeks of not giving a fuck about the internet. Trekking and Canoeing and Cycling and ohmygodkillmeijustwanttobebacktherewithacocktailinmyhand.

Understood. I got to go to Thailand a few times when I lived in Hong Kong, but that was when I was kid (pre-teen). Nothing too adventerous, but always enjoyed it.

The people still love life and other people. Even in the guts of Bangkok (the word "guts" chosen for obvious reasons of anyone that's been there). Get back there now and get into the country side or to the less bustling islands (Koh Samed or Karabi), you will not be dissapointed. And god damn if everyone doesn't speak English mainly.

I'm super jealous.

I spent far too long saying this to too many of my friends. Now you are saying it to me. My motivations for travel are revealed!

You are a brave man to leave the spaces and punctuation out of a sentence containing the word 'cocktail'. I chubby you as a mark of respect.

People will see what they want to see, thanks for the cocktailchubby.

I love this strip. Not so much for Beef's rhymes (while they are awesome), but mostly for Ray's Flava Flav hypeman act. I like to imagine Ray's delivery (especially on "He gets with Ladies but in the end...") to be spoken haltingly, but profoundly...kind of like in Chris Rock's "No Sex in the Champagne Room".

First panel = priceless. Two cats run under a streetlight for a yowl.

Panel Five Ray cracks me up.

I just had a weird moment where I imagined a world where people could be defined by singular moments in their lives. As in Panel Five Ray cracks me up, whereas Panel 24 Ray makes me want to vomit. As if Ray's has a multi-verse personality.

The thing that gets me about this strip is I can imagine coming up with a ridiculous idea whilst being drunk, but being this eloquent in execution seems strange.
Still, love the hypeman act.

Getting with ladies who end up not liking you is the #1 most important aspect of a successful rap career.

So why am I still struggling to get respect as an MC?
