This is the greatest suspense a man can know: to wonder if Todd is dead.

you can almost hear the dun-Dun-DUNNN!!!

last three notes of a descending minor scale.

That puddle is either blood, piss, or puke. Either way, it doesn't look good for Todd.

Actually it's acorn whiskey, as Todd says in the next strip. Of course acorn whiskey could be slang for squirrel urine.

SPOILER!

The little cracked window is sad.

My rating went from a 3 to a 4, solely because of the little cracked window.

you just know its hell of difficult to find replacement parts for that thing

hell of cools storyline.

"I can't feel my tail" -- next time get donked, I'm gonna say just that. See how people take it.

How did it go?

Probably hurt his pride more than his tail.

you can tell he's goin into the light when he starts talking like blister

What's interesting is, Chris tried to make dramatic tension by making us wonder if Todd would die when Todd had been in all of 3 strips. I mean, he was my favorite character at that time, but still, normally people wait until you care about the characters before pulling something like that.

Achewood has always been about taking chances and pushing the envelope, of course.

I think this strip is the surreptitious introduction of Blister. We don't see him, but we hear him talking. I'm sure it's not Todd talking like Blister. I have two theories.

1. Blister was in the van with Todd, and died in the accident. That's why Todd's so surprised to see him when Blister presents himself to Todd later.

2. Blister was already dead and watching out for Todd, kinda like a guardian angel. He speaks since Todd's all messed up and unconscious. But he loses consciousness and Todd regains it in time to say he can't feel his tail. Afterward (and in the next strip) Todd either doesn't yet notice Blister is dead, or doesn't really care since squirrels come back. (Or at least Todd does.)

WHOAH

did you just sit on a genius?

Back, and to the left.
Back, and to the left.
Back, and to the left.

...are you bleeding?
I think so... ...my shoes feel wet...

Ah, the glory days, back when arcs longer than one strip required a "to be continued" in the bottom...

Why is Lie Bot tweaking his nipples?
