and why is he wearing terrible long underwear?

mustard colored skin? not what I had in mind.
that, and, the way the words are written, sounds like Vlad on the phone!

Could it be possible that this IS Vlad on the phone?

You were under the correct assumption.

Maybe a little bit darker, but yeah, pretty much.

All along he was Winnie the Pooh's crass cousin. Who knew?

It is the color of anger over past non-canadian bacon pizzas.

Teodor is a WHITE BEAR!

Teodor is white, Ray is white...just which characters aren't white, overmedicated? or should I say...DIXIE DAN?!

HAHA! Yeah...it's weird but great how such a complex, colorful (forgive the pun) strip is so much better in simple black and white...

Ray is grey.

Raymond is brown. Roast Beef is grey. It always looks odd to me.

Pat is pink, but they couldn't show it early on as it would have been a chronic spoiler.

Folks hate your opinion.

Eh, color issues aside, I have had this experience on the phone many times. If only they were all love stories.

I have been on both sides of this conversation

Just the other day I was phoned by an american, out of the blue. I know what you mean.

It's like trying to carry on a phone conversation with one of those browser-based "soundboards" of celebrity audio clips...

"I love canadian bacon"... "arrggghh"... "I kill you last"... "now... plain zero"

i don't understand why everyone doesn't have this at a solid five. this is one of my top five.

it is a love story!

english very good language! i took english class 5 year!
English pizza take my class!

Looks like Hajul wasn't always an electrical engineer.

But English Speaking Pizza telephone man has the cadences and linguistic mannerisms of an inhabitant of the Indian subcontinent, not those of an East Asian.

Hajul is the only man on this planet with the tenacity required to do anything a thousand times, be it loving English or quitting phone calls.

But Hajul is indeed a "fancy son of a bitch from India".

Dang, that's the case. But he talks like an east asian in that other strip. Maybe Cropes is Ignorant of Foreign Cadences. He is after all a simple man.

When I read the strip, I always hear Manuel from the Moose/Germans episode of Fawlty Towers .

"Hello. How are you? I speak Eng-a-lish! I learned it... from a book!"

Alt text: "Silly-ass pizza installment!"

I unofficially retract this lame. When I gave it, I didn't realize that you were performing a service which was, at the time, helpful.

i have a lot of this to do through the archives.

I get the feeling that Lie Bot has opened a pizza place... He can speak English, but he'll get your order wrong anyway.

ehh. when i look at these earlier colour strips, i think onstad gets the colours almost right, but for some reason decided to use each colour's pukiest incarnation.

Maybe he coloured them in England.

again with the tiny phonebook

For some reason I always thought of Phillipe as some sort of light blue color before seeing the first color strips.

I wish Taco Bell could feel love like this.

fuck this one made me laugh at every panel

Jesus.
This has to be my sixth time through the archive, and that last panel still made me nearly choke to death on my yoghurt.
WHEN WILL I LEARN

It's like an old friend bent on your asphyxiation. You weren't expecting it, but you totally should have been.

this strip is dumb.

Dear Mr. Onstad, I do not understand the device involved in Panels 3 and 5, other than "I don't want to repeat the same panel of Tacodor speaking but I don't want to manipulate his stance, wait I know I have an archived drawing of a window sill".

It is a fine representation of a window sill sir.

In which Téodor asks an English-Speaking Pizza representative to prove that he (Téodor) has been duped by "English-speaking" pizza places before now.
