Only the lure of Vegas will get them out of the house.

"I've got Vivarin and a pistol!"
What more does anybody really need?

An old car, obviously.

You've got sass, kid.

He's channeling Einstein, man.
And he's saying
Screw you.

Lyle riding shotgun is a necessary.

And probably not just a figure of speech.

a pack of cigarettes and a bible

Nothing.

Good fucking call.

good fucking call, T.

Two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls.

Not that you need all that, but once you get into a serious drug collection it's hard to stop.

and i always thought it was the tendency to push it as far as you can that produced above mentioned shopping list...

Don't forget the grapefruit.

Ether.

Knowing Lyle, there's also a square-shaped bottle of booze lying around.

Wide-mouth, too!

With a handle. I'm serious.

In this, as in so many other things, Lyle adheres to the Hunter S. Thompson school.

Is Lyle more entusiasthic about going to Vegas, furthering Téodor's relationship or the possibility of vivarin and pistol usage?

Perhaps it is the combination?

I really wish more had come of this.

Oh, Teodor. Someday you will learn that when a girl tells you you're "funny," it does not indicate that she wishes to bone you. Going down that road inevitably leads to the "Look, you're a nice guy, but..." dead-end.

(sob)

"vivarin and a pistol" hilarious!

The real question is, does she think he's "funny" because he likes long, deep kisses with the eyes wide open? Or for some other reason?

I hope it's the first.
