The first appearance of the Red Skates.

Yeah. Skates really signify impending doom in this comic, don't they?

Did you just reference Muppet Babies?!

The last panel is some of the simplest and purest joy I have ever seen.

Dang, I could go for some french fries right about now.

There is no relationship more pure than that of between a stuffed otter and a french fry.

Interesting -- among Phillipe's unexpected talents, he can speak Universal Product Code, the language of fast food menu items and many inanimate objects.

Also Woodstock.

The french fry's speech is vaguely reminiscent of that of Woodstock but decidedly more modern.

i think its barcode.

Heh. My apologies, you beat me to it.

It's like Wonderfalls but actually funny.

Hey, come on now. Wonderfalls wasn't that bad.

This only makes the drunken Chrishmash actions of T and Lyle seem even more barbaric . . .

ARE YOU DEAD INSIDE? TAKE THIS SIMPLE TEST AND FIND OUT:

-Read this french fry arc while listening to "Here Comes a Special Boy" by Freezepop.
-Did your eyes mist over? If not, you're probably a murderer or something.

Tomorrow: Donating roller skates to the old soldiers home

I like that these old school strips aren't flooded with moronic posts of new achewood posers just trying to get chubbied. It was a simpler time.

I'm beginning to think that the french fry's death has cursed that pair of rollerskates, doom befalling all that cross it's path.

Ok. RIIIIGHT about here, we get into the current state of things

Cute. Beautiful. Enjoyable. Simple. Love it~

Something about the simplicity of the alt text just gets me.
