is so fresh!

I will place you in the vegetable drawer in my refrigerator and leave you there until you are... SO fresh

The second panel does have a Vlad feel to it.

I got Vlad and LB mixed up in my early readings and the inside of my head bestowed a generic eastern European accent upon LB.
It was several hundred strips before I realised my mistake.

The beet is always fresh

Sometimes it can be hard to tell if you have gotten fresh or not; I have this problem

still relevant today!

As an American, it is Phillipe's god-given right to get fresh with the fine women.

I think so too... but is it a question or a statement from the five year old philippe?

Oh Philippe when will you learn?

Phillipe looks genuinely concerned.

Waaaaaait . . . this is the second time Lie Bot has told the frickin' truth!

Mixing lies with the truth is key in deceiving people.

No I'm pretty sure this time Lie Bot was only telling the truth about other people wanting to kill Americans . . . all that stuff about vocab and fine women is just a myth!

Phillipe has no idea what 'getting fresh with fine women' is, but he assumes he's done it, because he's a patriotic otter.

A patriotter, if you will

i am glad to say that i am personally responsible for this strip getting a 3.9 instead of a 3.8. i mean come on people.

Does Lie Bot look really small in this one?

Naa. Philippe just looks huge.

He's standing in a hole. A "lie hole."

i've always enjoyed the expression "getting fresh". especially because it doesn't seem as if anything resulting from the whole affair could even remotely be refferred to as "fresh".

Lie Bot: A True American Patriot.

ever notice how phillpe is always looking at you in the early strips

Damnit now I see it too!

If alt-text existed at this point: "The otter thinks he knows about getting fresh with fine women."

This one's pretty good, but it feels like there's a fourth panel just hiding somewhere, waiting to reveal itself and make us chuckle just that much more.

I believe liebot actually represents American political discourse. Think about everything he has ever said, except for the clitoris.

Not except. Especially the clitoris.

::ahem::

CLITS

I love how Phillipe isn't sure whether he gets fresh with the fine women or not

I really, really wish that the right to "get fresh with the fine women" was somewhere in the Constitution.

Come on, government, make my day.

Convicted felons are not allowed to get fresh with the fine women. Convicted felons caught getting fresh can be sentenced to pay a fine of up to $10,000 or spend five years in prison.

Try what I did, only $10K up front.

The Frank Miller view of American foreign relations.

THESS...! EZZ...! fresh?

He'll have a jolly good try anyway.

Lie bot is so arrogant in his theory, he doesn't even realise by now that Phillipe is just simple.

That's precisely what Lie Bot's all about.

Aaw Phillipe! He hopes he hasn't let America down.

Philippe is going to have to start wrapping his head around these ideas. He can't remain five forever... Oh, never mind

Ultra Peanut was so fine!

This strip is a haunting reminder that this comic was created only weeks after 9/11, as if Onstad himself was standing defiant in the face of terror yelling "YOU SHALL NOT WIN! WE WILL NEVER BOW OUR HEADS! PHILIPPE IS FIVE!"

NEVAR FORGET

I have yet to figure out if that is Lie Bots nose or mouth.

How could that be a mouth?
